Helping Hands & Rainbow Room

Sabine County Community Partners was formed in 2007 and ran the Rainbow Room in the Texas Health and Human services building in Hemphill to aid and assist the CPS and “at risk” families and children in Sabine County.

This was not open to the public and was an emergency resource room for the county. This is still in place for the agents to pull from all hours as needed and we will keep these rooms filled.

We are a 501c Non-profit with no government funding and no assistance except for donations on a month-to-month basis for rent and utilities.

No Administrative pay. All volunteers.

Since 2018 the need has grown tremendously in Sabine County to help families in need to give a helping hand. That said, everything from clothes to basic needs were needed more and more. We started assisting the families and taking in like-new clothes, coats, shoes, etc. We were working out of a storage building as needed. The community need grew as did the necessity for larger storage and workplace. After months of looking, a new location was acquired at the end of Lane's Grocery (Across the street from Valero).

So, as to clear up any confusion, we operate TWO separate locations:

-Sabine County Rainbow Room & Sabine County Helping Hands ~ They both service those in need.

-Sabine County Helping Hands is open to the public....Tuesday's and Thursday's 10am till 2 pm.

Donations can be dropped off @ Sabine County Helping Hands 640 Sabine Street.

We ask you NOT to leave donations at the doorway or ramp. We will be more than happy to accept them when we are open during business hours on Tuesday's and Thursday's.

The community has blessed us by giving their clothes and items to assist these families.
